The film exposure counter will reset if the back of the camera is opened while film is loaded. To avoid issues, be mindful not to open the camera once film has been loaded.

After removing the INSTAX instant film cartridge from the foil wrapper you will notice a small yellow stripe on the top right side of the cartridge. If you open the film door located on the back of your instax™ product, you will see the same yellow mark on the top right corner of the film compartment, simply align these two stripes and the film cartridge should slot in place easily. Never force the INSTAX instant film into your product as this could damage the INSTAX instant film and / or product.

The film exposure counter will reset if the back of the camera is opened while the INSTAX instant film is loaded. To avoid issues, be mindful not to open the camera once film has been loaded.

This is usually caused when the film door on the instax™ instant camera has been opened after INSTAX instant film has been loaded into the camera. INSTAX instant film is light sensitive, so should only be exposed to light when a picture is taken, not before.

Try reinserting the batteries with the lens in the open position which should hopefully reset the issue. If you are still experiencing issues with your instax™ product, please call the Fujifilm North America Contact Center at 1-800-800-3854 for further assistance

This depends on usage and the instax™ instant camera that you use, but all products can print around 100 photos before having to change or recharge the batteries, with the exception of the instax SQUARE SQ1™, which can print around 300 photos with fully charged batteries.
